Born on 30th of June 1966 in Brooklyn New York; Mike Tyson was raised in a suburb infamous for crimes. At the age of 13, Tyson had faced 38 police arrests. 
When forced to attend the Tyron Boys School, there Tyson discovered his penchant for boxing after meeting with his trainer Bobby Stewart. After Tyson’s potentials in boxing had become evident, Bobby Stewart introduced him to the famous boxing promoter and trainer Cus D’Amato.
By the age of 16, Tyson’s mother died paving the way for Cus D’Amato to serve as both his trainer and legal guardian.

In pursuit of his career, on the 6th of March 1985 Mike defeated Hector Mercedes; marking his debut victory as a professional fighter.
